This model was produced in black, red and white. The WM-501 features DOLBY-B Noise Reduction, DBB (Dynamic Bass Boost) and Auto Reverse. A new belt has been installed and the machine has been serviced and all is working fine. There are three alternative power sources for this model - (i). a 1.5 volt AA/R6/Sum-3 battery can be used in a detachable battery adapter that fixes to the plastic protective case/belt clip. (ii). a 1.2 volt gum stick battery can be inserted inside the Walkman. (iii). an AC adapter (120 volts) plugs into a 'DC adapter' inside the Walkman - and it can then be powered by electricity.
