Position Summary

The cycle counter is a G level position in the James Hardie SBS Matrix.
The cycle counter works under the supervision of the plant controller.
Their primary role is to conduct inventory counts of both WIP and finished goods products from each department and to report those numbers to the plant controller and the accounting team.

Position Responsibilities

Accurate and thorough counting of material within the plant

Compiling and updating count results

Creation of spreadsheets to aid in tracking results

Tracking of monthly count completion rate

Coordination of recounts

Assist in reconciliation issues

Reporting of results

Quantitative Dimensions

Decision Making:

The Cycle Counter balances priorities, material, and time in order to meet the inventory control demands of the accounting department.

Scope of Position:

The cycle counter works according to demand and keeps the accounting department supplied with accurate inventory counts of both WIP and finished goods products across all departments.
The counter s duties include but are not limited to the counting of all requested material, the creation of monthly spreadsheets and reports to assist in the tracking of count results, coordination of labor and resources for recounts, and assistance to the accounting department in reconciliation efforts.

Position Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Required:

A positive history in safety.

Forklift licensed or the ability to become forklift licensed.

Manlift licensed or ability to become manlift licensed.

Can work with heights.

Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Access as well as other job related program interfaces

Good math skills

Good communication skills

Have the ability to read/comprehend instructions given through instruction manuals and SOP s

Education/
Experience:

Required:

Previous James Hardie warehousing experience preferred but not required.
