Manufacturing Engineer

Responsible for the design, implementation, control and troubleshooting of manufacturing and assembly processes company-wide
Ensures manufacturability of designs; supports resolution of variant configuration, BOM and routing errors; updates and reviews ECO implementations and reviews new product introductions to ensure efficient integration into production; coordinates new product introduction initiatives throughout Operations.
Develops robust manufacturing engineering solutions and techniques which meet design specifications; supports the definition and development of manufacturing processes and documentation; supports the development of tooling and fixtures for manufacturing processes; supports the development, optimization and implementation of manufacturing methods and processes through various functions (e.g. line balancing, general assembly flows, process flows).
Provides engineering and vendor support; works cross functionally in the introduction of new products; influences change to products through the application of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly; works using application and implementation of Lean Manufacturing techniques and processes; works towards completion of projects in multiple areas simultaneously.
Develops project cost estimates and justifications and associated capital appropriation; develops, implements and optimizes material handling and delivery systems and associated workflows; determines and establishes labor and machine standards; evaluates new technologies.
Generates ECO's and completes ECO implementations according to established processes, providing implementation requirements and due dates; supports and addresses daily production issues related to BOM, configuration and sales order details through use of Serena database by reviewing issues and evaluating possible short-term solutions.
This position reports to the manager of Manufacturing Engineering within the Global Manufacturing Operations organization. First Year Goals Assist with the coordination of new product introduction initiatives throughout Operations with focus being on defining and developing manufacturing processes, documentation and any associated fixtures.
Participate in cost reduction and process efficiency initiatives to drive product, process, material cost, and quality and delivery improvements to meet 2.5% year over year improvement. The focus would be on developing, optimizing and implementing manufacturing methods and processes through various functions (e.g., line balancing, general assembly flows, process flows)
Support operational goal of 95% on time order completion by addressing daily production issues related to process, bill of material, configuration and sales order data. Assist in identifying short and long term solutions based upon root cause.
Assist in generating Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to release new production tools or materials. Assist in the review of ECOs in order to identify impact to production processes and ensure efficient integration into production. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent
0-3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process development for new product introduction, and engineering change order implementation.
Microsoft Office Suite, SolidWorks, Pro-Engineer
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Effective listening skills.
Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts quickly with win-win solutions.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently on projects. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in an advanced ERP system (SAP a plus)
Experience teaching/training skills, leading project teams, effectively communicating problem statements and possible root causes Special requirements needed Security Investigation
