Accountant II

The Accountant role is a great opportunity to work with a solid team of professionals that have a great rapport working together. Your key responsibility will be managing the accounting for IGT's Interactive and 3rd party business segments. This role is highly visible with opportunities to work with multiple departments, across all business channels, linking industry leading themed products with the best revenue and royalty accounting solutions.

Though there is a structured close process, the position provides the opportunity to be involved in the big picture. Technical accounting skills are important with the ability to see the full financial picture. Intercompany accounting for multiple entities is a plus. Must be able to successfully engage and communicate with all levels, collaborate with internal and external business partners to ensure accurate financial results is achieved. This position reports directly to the JV/Royalties Manager. First Year Goals Strongly engage with the team and business partners to learn IGT's business, especially as it relates to the royalty portfolio and the Interactive and 3rd party business, and the related opportunities and challenges that brings.
Become an expert with entity structure of our business segments through completion of internal financials, flux analysis and intercompany reconciliations.
Become proficient with the Real Alliant royalty system for automating royalty calculations and statements, and be thinking about process improvements
Collaborate with the team to incorporate best practices in dissecting contractual royalty agreements to incorporate into Alliant to ensure seamless calculations.
Represent Royalty Accounting when business partners are deploying new process initiatives which can involve accounting changes.
Develop a productive working relationship with internal and external business partners, supporting new and existing business models and relationships. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 2
years accounting or financial analysis experience.
Must be technical and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills able to extract appropriate financial elements from business deals/contracts, compiling and presenting financial reports, and audit rules and regulations.
Additional knowledge in GAAP, IFRS, and SOX.
Advanced PC skills are required.
Must be able to work cross-departmentally and have a strong understanding of process controls to ensure proper financial posting.
Requires excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines while being a team player is required.
Must be willing to work overtime as needed Preferred Qualifications MBA or other advanced degree, CPA or special skill related to position preferred SAP and/or Alliant software experience or equivalent database skills preferred

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
