Summary:
Currently seeking a Research Scientist II for the Immunobiology Group in Laboratory Sciences Department for CRO, located in Client's state-of-the-art facility. Will serve as Scientist in the conduct of assigned nonclinical research studies of moderate to High Complexity, to include Study Management, Interpretation and Reporting of Study Data and assuring the Regulatory Compliance of these projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
o Function independently as a study director in the direction & execution of assigned studies; Have direct oversight of Immunotoxicology studies in compliance with GLP regulations as they apply to the conduct of nonclinical research.
o Coordinate all phases of the study planning process with appropriate departments and the associated technical staff
o Generate high-quality project plans, protocol development; and review, interpret, integrate, and present data on assigned studies with minimal assistance
o A key component to this role will be to provide technical and scientific guidance to the research staff as well as the identification of operational and scientific growth opportunities for the company
o Assist in the oversight of the laboratory and mentor technical staff in areas such as protocol interpretation, method development and refinement, study-related problem resolution, and technique validation
o Function as contact for the planning and execution of client/sponsor interactions, including study scheduling and study conduct.
o Attend Scientific Meetings, Conferences and Training courses to enhance job and Professional Skills
o A solid understanding of Regulatory Requirements of Study types assigned, Testing Facility SOP's and GLPs is essential
o Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize work and meet deadlines; Excellent written & verbal communication skills
o Proficiency in the use of standard software including Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc. as well as standard laboratory calculations
o Strong Leadership skills, especially in relation to intra- & interdepartmental initiatives, Client/Sponsor Interaction and BD
o This role will have direct oversight for a group of scientific staff as appropriate for scope of responsibilities which entails directing activities of assigned group(s);
o Ensure effective performance of function
o Interviewing and selecting qualified exempt-level departmental personnel
o Recommending and reviewing personnel actions, including hiring, promotions and raises
o Partnering with Human Resources in the handling of disciplinary issues, preparing and/or approving appropriate personnel action paperwork
o Monitoring performance of direct report
o Providing regular coaching and counseling
o Preparing and delivering salary and performance reviews, and ensuring optimum performance of group function
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 7 to 9 years related experience in the contract research or pharmaceutical industry. Must possess experience & knowledge with some of the following:
o Flow Cytometry (immunophenotyping, receptor occupancy, etc.)
o Regulated Bioanalysis (large molecule bioanalysis, immunogenicity and biomarker assessments)
o Cell-based assays (neutralizing antibody assays and in vitro immunopharmacology)
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent in a scientifically-related discipline is required. Related Master's degree or PhD preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
