Maintenance Planner - Crescent Dunes Solar Energy
The Maintenance Planner reports directly to the Plant Manager and is responsible for maintenance task organization, work package development, implementation, tracking and completion associated with the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). This person will build work packages, implement data in the CMMS related to each work package, coordinate all activities with all other departments, track work progress, and ensure completion of each item as required.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
oProvide input to extensive planning for long term and short term outages
oImplement all specifications for work packages, including safe and efficient execution and completion.
oProvide feed back to all departments as required for tracking and scheduling
oProvide data entry for parts, repairs, work order completion, and other items.
oPromote applicable maintenance procedures for defect free maintenance work
oParticipate in training for CMMS and other personnel as required by Management
oKeep technical information and maintenance history current in the CMMS data base
oSurvey work areas, personnel, and other items for continuous improvements.
oComplete other tasks as requested by the Plant Manger.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
oThis Maintenance planner position operates from established and well known procedures, performing duties under general supervision. Decisions are made within policy constraints. This position encounters new and varied work situations, involving a high degree of complexity.
oThe Maintenance planner must ensure that all work is performed in a safe manner resulting in no accidents, in compliance with all environmental permits at all times. The Maintenance Planner must effectively communicate information to the Maintenance Manager, fellow plant personnel, relative to the condition of the plant equipment and performance, and provide suggestions for plant improvement.
oAll employees have the responsibility to both the customer and their co-workers to do the job right the first time and to ensure the customers' needs are being met.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
The Maintenance Planner reports to the Plant Manager, and works with maintenance and operations personnel for scheduling purposes. This position cooperates with the Maintenance Manager, and Operations Manager as needed in the daily operation of the plant.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
oPhysical requirements may include:
possible working on feet for extensive periods, requiring stairs and ladder climbing; and routinely lifting 50 lbs. Protective equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties (e.g. hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, chemical suits, hot gloves and high voltage protective equipment, etc). Work with hazardous materials may be required.
oPosition requires extended working hours and varied shifts with possibility of weekend and holiday work, as required by schedules, work load and plant conditions. On call status will periodically be required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
oAA degree in industrial maintenance or equivalent plant experience
oStrong knowledge of Maintenance planning for efficiency and reliability
oStrong knowledge in the use of personal computers and numerous software applications such as Excel, Word, MS outlook, Powerpoint, Access, etc. including scheduling software such as MS projects.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
