Position Purpose:
Under the general direction of the FNS Leadership, this position is responsible and accountable for planning and leading staff to assume accountability for decisions and actions of cost-effective customer care Patient Services in accordance with organizational goals.This position is also responsible for tray line and consistent delivery of quality service to patients in a timely manner.
Nature and Scope:
This position is accountable for ensuring that the tray line, dietary clerks, dietary aides and staff are maintaining a professional, quality image that helps Renown Health portray a positive image in community and makes Renown Health a more advantageous place to be.
The major challenges to this position include:adjust/schedule for Dietary Aids, Diet Clerks, Porters and Nutrition Representatives to maintain an efficient operation; monitor policies, procedures and practices for sanitation and safety; review and assist in development of policies and procedures for the Food and Nutrition when necessary; develop and maintain necessary records; plan organize and evaluate staff development with the assistance of Food and Nutrition Leadership; work to increase proficiency while maintaining/patient satisfaction; and promote effective inter and intra departmental communication and patient/customer relations.
The incumbent has the authority to make routine decisions related to day-to-day tasks, but must escalate to Food and Nutrition Leadership any unusual problem that does not follow established guidelines.Incumbent will be responsible for patient rounding to establish patient satisfaction and perform service recovery as needed.

Minimum
Qualifications:Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
Education:
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.
Experience:
Two years of Nutrition classes or three years experience in a hospital Dietary department is required.
License(s):

Computer / Typing:
Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days,the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
