Position Purpose:
This position functions as an analyst and educator for the on-going Transformational Health Care implementation. This position is responsible for organization and training in preparation for Rapid Process Improvement Workshops (RPIWs) as directed by Executive Leadership, through the Transformational Health Care implementation infrastructure.
Nature and Scope:
This person is responsible for:
Training and implementing improvement efforts, using the principles learned through certification
Works in partnership with individual departments and its leadership to ensure adherence to the principles of lean thinking in order to sustain change
Serves as an organizational resource for Transformational Health Care training and facilitation. May be asked to present and educate individual departments and leadership audiences
Maintaining an analysis of the results of the lean improvement activities
Maintaining a calendar and schedule of the lean activities occurring across the organization
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
1.Adopts a philosophy consistent with the Renown Health Standards of Conduct
2.Strong facilitation experience
3.Advanced computer skills to perform database and spread sheet functions
4.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to control and maintain centralized processes
5.Excellent organization and time management skills to manage heavy workload and produce accurate information in a stressful environment with constant interruption
6.Ability to effectively and efficiently work in an environment characterized by stress, intensity and demand for high levels of performance
and attention to detail
8.Basic mathematical skills
9.Analytical skills to develop and interpret data and reported statistics
10.Above average writing skills to prepare grammatically correct reports, letters and memos and the ability to synthesize verbal commentary into written form
Challenges for this position are to exhibit excellent organization and time management skills to lead and monitor project progress and engage in a breadth of activities, and working with physicians and/or staff that may feel threatened by process improvement initiatives.The incumbent is challenged to meet constant deadlines.The final challenge is maintaining the rigor necessary to ensure Transformational Health Care established standards are maintained.

Minimum
Qualifications:Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
Education:
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.Bachelor s degree required or equivalent years of healthcare experience.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years process improvement work (ie. Lean or Six Sigma is preferred,) or training and development of employees at all levels is required.Applicants with healthcare experience will be given preference.
License(s):

Certification(s):
Certified to lead Rapid Process Improvement Workshops within 18 months of hire.
Computer / Typing:
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook,PowerPoint, Excel and Word andhave the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
