We are recruiting for a Budget Analyst who will serve as an essential member of the Division of Health Sciences (DHS) and University of Nevada School of Medicine (UNSOM) Budget and Finance Team. The Budget Analyst performs diverse, time-sensitive and complex administrative budget duties under the direction of the Director of Budgeting and Hospital Accounting for UNSOM and DHS. The Budget Analyst is responsible for reporting and timely completion of all UNSOM and DHS budgets and other fiscal duties and is also responsible for the UNSOM Budget Module, an online application used for budget development and reporting, and training departments in the use of this application.This position requires you to work effectively in informal and formal teams with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. Duties include: preparing all assigned UNSOM budgets including, but not limited to, budgets for the Deans/Vice Presidents Office, General Counsel, Office of Medical Research and Human Resources; coordinating with University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) Information Technology (IT) in the development of UNSOMs IT budget; accurate and timely completion of all UNSOM and DHS budgets; coordinating with the Budget Analyst I in the development of budgets for all of the DHS; preparing and timely submission of all University budget related supporting documents and reports required for the University budget process; and oversight of the UNSOM Budget Module including working with an application analyst to maintain and enhance this budgeting tool.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree from a regionally accredited school and five years, or a Masters Degree and three years, of experience in budgeting, accounting, economics, business administration, management analysis, finance or closely related field. Preferred qualifications include budget experience with a state budget office or preparing budgets for a large state government entity including higher education institutions.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
