Position Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Manager, IT Infrastructure this position is responsible to provide: analysis, planning, testing, evaluation, project support of desktop systems;Provide level 3 desktop trouble shooting support for all IT Departments and their customers;Engineer software implementation, quality assurance and deployment readiness for all desktop software used on the Renown network.
This is a highly technical senior position requiring an understanding of current and future desktop hardware; Software distribution and developer level application re-engineering; Software trends and current/future administration systems for desktop support.
Nature and Scope:
Under the supervision of the Manager, IT Infrastructure this position: analyzes, develops, implements and maintains computer operating system images for desktop, laptop and other computer system configurations using Symantec Ghost, LANDesk and other software distribution tools such asRadia; NullScript; Flexera AdminStudio; WiseAdmin Studio; Hypervisors (such as VMware.Works with Application Administrators and Application vendors to develop, test, implement and maintain an applications and Windows operating system deployment system using LANDesk; Continually develops and evaluates processes to streamline application deployment for Renown s desktop operating systems and 1,200
applications; Analyze, test, demo and compare computer hardware to determine which computer systems and peripheral devices will best fit the User and business needs of level 3 desktop trouble shooting support for IT Staff and directly with IT Customers.
Performs job functions under general supervision.Decisions that must be referred to the supervisor include hardware and software acquisitions, policy deviations, financial matters and changes that could adversely impact user functionality and or productivity.
Primary job functions require exercising independent judgmentto identify and resolve problems with software and hardware compatibility; To ensure the efficient function and uninterrupted operation of the computer systems; maintain a wide variety of installed software and software installation procedures; Plan for short and long rangeWindows operating systemand hardware requirements; Develop client software and hardware installation processes and procedures;Consults with Project Managers/Client Liaisons to determine and recommend functional hardware and software solutions;Plan Software Lifecycle requirements;Modifies application installations;Tests new or replacement hardware required for application installations/Operating Systems;Re-Engineer software installations;Level 2 development/testing/quality assurance of application deployment packages;Assist Project Managers/Client Liaisons with project planning requiring desktop systems support.
This position is part of the BC Tech team that supports a 24x7 production environment.Off-hours, on-call and weekend support work may be required.Requires interpersonal communication skills for both IT and non-IT Customers including routine exchange of information via face-to-face contact or telephone.Additional responsibilities may be required.

Minimum
Qualifications:Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
Education:
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.Requires Associate of Arts degree or equivalent in basic electronics or computer science. Experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
Experience:
Minimum ten years experience in the field.Must be experienced with the following:
Windows XP & 7 packaging & Migration (Physical and Virtual).
Extensive experience building MSI installations to address first time installs and upgrades.
Repackaging of commercial and internal software.
Generating transform files & patches.
Creating custom actions for installs, repair and uninstall actions.
Developing installation automation using VB and CMD scripts.
Experience with App testing (Pre-Flight), to confirm that they properly install the applications being packaged.
Solid written and verbal skills are a must to effectively communicate with Vendors and Subject Matter Experts in order to implement and support packaging requirements and to provide status updates as necessary.
Familiarity with deployment methodology such as SMS, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), LANDesk, or Tivoli.
Enterprise Application Package Development -
Application packaging development for the Enterprise using Admin Studio or similar software. This entails Senior Level application development and deployment to multiple Operating systems - Windows XP, Windows 7.
Applicants with experience in a healthcare setting will be given preference.

Certification(s):
A
Hardware and Operating System Certification required.MCDST Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician preferred.
Computer / Typing:
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook,PowerPoint, Excel and Word andhave the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
