Position Description:
Are you passionate about transforming how we contract with and support our Enterprise Services customers? Would you like to be part of the evolution of Microsoft Enterprise Services architecture to deliver a One Microsoft Services vision for the Company? Come join us in delivering the future state order to cash infrastructure that will support over $4B revenue and double-digit growth. We''re looking for a seasoned Business Architect that can take the platform strategy, translate the implications to the Microsoft Consulting Services (MCS) operating model and influence the direction to enable a cost effective growth model for GESO. The successful applicant will be able to maximize the existing platform landscape whilst building deployment plans for the Future State Architecture and assessing the operational scenarios for platform co-existence. Global Enterprise Services Operations (GESO) within SMSG Microsoft Operations is focused on building industry-leading order to cash capabilities to make it easier for Enterprise customers' to do business with Microsoft and deploy and support our latest technologies.
We are hiring an MCS Business Platform Program Manager to partner with platform engineering teams, MSIT, Worldwide Services Strategy & Operations and Finance to develop, drive and maintain platform roadmaps for order to cash capabilities. Excellent collaboration skills and a solution-oriented mind-set are must-haves for this position. A fundamental understanding of large-scale ERP deployments, the order to cash capabilities required to run a professional services organization and organization change management are highly desirable for this position.
This position will be accountable for the planning and delivering the platform roadmap for Microsoft Consulting Services order to cash capabilities. It requires the ability to impact and influence senior leaders in the design of systems and tools to automate and streamline business processes and enable scale. This includes responsibility for ensuring customer satisfaction and our compliance integrity are not compromised and that cost/benefit impacts to GESO are carefully evaluated and socialized with Corporate Platform Owners.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key stakeholder groups to clearly understand business goals, challenges and priorities and provide input to strategic thinking and planning for new and enhancements to existing Business Platforms
Building a clear picture of the MCS platforms roadmap and assess implications for GESO e.g. get clear on the plan
Build a robust approach to measuring platform benefit realization including impact to costs, operating model, user adoption & experience ensuring awareness and impact assessment of upstream and downstream MCS Tools on the Regional Operations Center (ROC)
Influence systems design to adhere to First Mile Excellence principles and drive process standardization and streamlining
Lobbying the Corporate Teams to drive operational enhancements to the existing MCS platforms landscape whilst the transition is progressing to ensure a cost effective growth model
Solicit feedback and input from the Operations Specialists / Managers in order to represent the voice of the customer, field, and region that need to be considered for business platform capability design and prioritization
Ensuring all system releases are fit for purpose, thoroughly tested and with robust business continuity plans
Review and provide signoff for BRD/FSD as necessary
Clearly and effectively communicate the importance of platform changes to the wider GESO organization
Managing the Monthly / Quarterly Release Cycle for MCS tools including User Acceptance Testing with Arvato or others as needed e.g. Agility team and any required change request to the BPO and change management within GESO
Supporting MCS platforms run globally to facilitate operational execution especially at Month End/Quarter End/Year End
Ensure significant platform issues are triaged by IT and Engineering to assess underlying root cause and ensure that future issue mitigation is implemented
Drive tools security and compliance requirements with Corporate Platform Owners and ensure that platforms are audit ready across all relevant compliance pillars
Accelerate the sun setting / retirement approach for regional tools and legacy systems
The ideal candidate is someone who has:
Keen ability to build effective relationships with IT Engineering, Corporate Strategy, Finance & Operations leaders and influence platform decisions for desired operational outcomes
Prior experience in professional services infrastructure environments, driving system implementations to deliver leading order to cash capabilities
Demonstrated ability to manage several concurrent, large projects involving multiple stakeholders executing in a matrixed environment
Proven ability to articulate platform vision and benefits (from the perspective of cost, resources, operating model efficiency, compliance and customer experience) providing a solid rationale
A unique balance of ability (and desire) to both define platform strategy as well as drive day to day operational excellence
Shows outstanding analytical and business judgment in complex scenarios
Demonstrated track record of exceeding established goals on a consistent basis
Adept at getting things done, and performing amidst ambiguity and complexity

Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
A minimum of 6 years of experience in IT Program Management and/or Services Operations organization
Preferred
Qualifications:
Industry experience in professional services
Direct experience of large scale ERP applications or financial operations
Operational design experience for the professional services industry is desirable
Prior experience in delivering leading-edge order to cash capabilities
Six Sigma, PMI or related certification given preference; but not required
MBA is a plus

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
