Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate front office receptionist/intake scheduler to join our team.
As our front office person handling intake calls and greeting clients for their appointments, you will play a critical role in the success of our group practice by providing friendly and efficient service to our existing and prospective clients.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming telephone calls.
- Schedule initial appointments and reschedule existing appointments using an electronic calendaring system.
- Greet clients as they arrive for appointments.
- Verify health insurance benefits.
- Maintain strict client confidentiality in all communications in compliance with HIPAA.
- Ensure lobby/reception area is orderly.
Skills:
- Professional and friendly demeanor is a must.
- Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of health insurance terms and benefits.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, OneDrive, etc.
).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
