Job Description:
The Health Information Technician I is responsible for updating and maintaining Health Information Management systems while ensuring confidentiality.

@chaindeed Health Record Accuracy:
Ensures proper filing of documents in patient's health record in accordance with CHA policies, protocols and industry standards Accuracy rate of 95% or better for all documents indexed in the patients Electronic Health Record (EHR) when audited annually (for up to a period of 5 consecutive business days) or less than 25 errors noted outside of the audit period (within a reasonable period of time).
Ensures accurate filing of health records Review documents for appropriate signatures and/or initials prior to filing in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Health Records Timeliness and Availability:
Retrieves, processes and delivers/mails/faxes health records to appropriate destination(s) in a timely manner Locates, orders, processes and returns (if applicable) records stored in contracted offsite storage Files all documents in EHR system in a timely manner Education and
Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience in health care setting preferred.
