At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Production Assembly Lead to join the Data, Power & Control Team in Reno, NV . What Will You Do? The Production Assembly Lead will work as part of a team to assemble products or component of a product. The Production Assembly Lead needs to be a SME (subject matter experts) in the assigned area. This position will lead and perform advanced and complex tasks as well as share expertise in all production operations serving as a mentor to other Assembly Technicians. This position will ensure that all assigned duties are performed quickly, efficiently and according to the established departmental and company policies, procedures and goals. The Production Assembly Lead, as with all members of the DPC Team, is expected to promote a positive attitude, demonstrate initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, integrity, and exercise confidentiality. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
o SME in all related roles; Cord Prep, Packing, or QA o Able to work independently with minimal supervision o Is able to establish and complete goals in-line with the Company's Key Results o Audit and maintain an acceptable department 5S score o Manage queue levels in the assigned area TECHNICAL / PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE:
o High school diploma or general education degree (GED) supplemented by college level Electronics Technician coursework; Associates Degree in Industrial Electronics or related field preferred; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. o Minimum of 2 years electro/mechanical assembly experience. o Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with a logical approach to both mechanical and electronic problem-solving. o Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. o Ability to solder wires for cables, small wires, and surface mount components. o Experience with assembly of miniature mechanical components. o Experience with computer assembly and hardware/software troubleshooting. o Effective communication skills with the ability to provide information across multiple groups in the Company. o Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently. o Computer proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook), preferred. o Familiarity of ISO 9000 standards and audit process. Work Environment and Physical Demands Work environment is fast paced and priorities can shift quickly. All employees are expected to go outside their primary responsibilities when required, and multi-task job duties on a regular basis.
