We are looking for a detail-oriented and hard-working Logistics Coordinator to join our team.
The ideal candidate can function in a fast-paced environment and will take the initiative to increase our production efficiency while reducing our total cost outlay.
Summary of major
Responsibilities:
Review customer POs to ensure all pertinent shipping information is followed Recruit and coordinate logistics staff (e.
g.
, freight brokers and freight companies) according to availabilities and requirements Inspect finished crates to ensure the safety of fixtures during transport and to confirm the correct product is being shipped Confirm weights and dimensions of shipment are correct prior to requesting a quote.
Book shipments quickly and efficiently through our brokers via email or online FedEx/ UPS portal Properly label crates and packages with packing slips, marks, and BOLs Work with production and customer service departments to ensure customer orders ship in a timely manner and as requested Receive material when requested Assist production when requested Education, skills, qualifications, and experience needed to perform the responsibilities of the position A minimum of 3 weeks of training on the production floor, in order to gain needed product knowledge High School Diploma Friendly, service-oriented attitude Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and desire to be part of a busy workspace Proficient in Word, Windows, Outlook, etc.
Must be comfortable in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment Forklift trained (Preferred) LUX Core Values - THE P.
