Under general supervision, develops and distributes content that fosters good will, trust, and transparency with the public for Washoe County; and performs related work as required.
This is an Open Competitive/Countywide Promotional recruitment being conducted to fill a current full-time vacancy in the Washoe County Health District.

Qualifications:
Two years of full-time experience writing, producing and/or disseminating content including social media, video, photography, print material, graphic design, audio, digital and website media, OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
An associate degree from an accredited college or university in journalism, communications, or a closely related field can substitute up to half of the required experience.
License Or Certificate A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate commitment to public service and value exceptional customer service.
Have grants reporting, writing and/or administration experience.
Assimilate quickly into the organizational climate; establish critical relationships to ensure success and contribution to the organization.
Have outstanding written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrate the ability to take ownership of problems to find solutions; share resources, information, and knowledge; and will encourage commitment to the County's mission and organizational goals.
Be collaborative, hard-working, and detail oriented while still being able to see the big picture.
