Anticipate 20% of role consisting of the following
Responsibilities:
oFormulate and convey leadership vision and nurture group culture.
oManage Subsurface Utility staff team across multiple geographies.
oAllocate staff and resources to ensure that objectives are met within budget and on schedule.
oDirect recruitment and assignment of project personnel.
oDevelop processes and workflows to continuously improve delivery of quality data.
oProvide mentoring and staff development opportunities.
oRecognize outstanding performance and correct substandard performance of direct reports.
oInitiate, prepare and review proposals and participate in interviews.
oDevelop, review, and obtain confirmation of financial status and project delivery schedules.
oEstablish and maintain quality assurance plans and performs quality control tasks.
oTravel to and coordinate with Jacobs projects nationally.
oMaintain technological resources used by the group and investigates emerging technologies.
Anticipate 80% of role consist of the following
Responsibilities:
oUnderstand the project goals, scope of work, and client expectations oWork in a safe manner oFollow department and project quality processes oPerform field investigations in accordance with ASCE 38-02 Standard Guidelines for the Collection and Depiction of Existing Subsurface Utility Data oOperate and maintain utility locating and geophysical prospecting instruments and equipment oCollect data using advanced utility prospecting and geophysical technologies and applications oCreate field sketches and maps of field research oAssist surveyors during data collection oPerform utility surveys in the field using GPS and Robotic Total Station equipment oEnter field data into field or office databases oCommunicate findings and analysis to engineers and other project disciplines At Jacobs, we're partnering across the globe to create the best project outcomes by maximizing the design, digital technology, and support capabilities of our Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teammates.

oProven leadership record in the industry.
oProven ability to strategize for growth and articulate clear vision and direction.
oUnderstanding of subsurface technologies including Radio Detection (RD), Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Electromagnetic (EM) and emerging technologies.
oBachelor's Degree preferred.
oRegistration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineering Intern (EI) preferred.
oUtility engineering, construction management, relocation and as-built experience preferred.
Minimum requirements:
oAbility to travel up to 50% of time.

years of relevant experience in the industry o5
years of management involving direct client contact and staff management.
oMust have good social, networking, organization, communication and presentation skills.
oAbility to pass drug screen and background checks.
