Design, installation & operation of dedicated remote mine site labs.
Prep facilities, analytical laboratories, core services & photography, hyperspectral mapping & interpretation.
Leader in process development, circuit optimization, mineralogical analysis, bankable metallurgical testing, and consulting services for mineral process flowsheet development and optimization.
ALS offers mineral processing testing by both bench scale and pilot scale facilities, hydrometallurgical and mineralogical test services, and project management by expert metallurgists.
About the Position:
This position is responsible for developing new business for ALS Metallurgy by actively engaging new and past clients and growing ALS' market share.
You will also be responsible for assisting clients with obtaining information regarding ALS services and pricing, and ensuring clients receive efficient and accurate service and communication.
Business Development Responsibilities Contact prospective clients to increase awareness of ALS services; Capitalize on business opportunities in the market and generate new work; Responsible for client service outreach, calling, and visiting clients; Attend and represent ALS Metallurgy at selected trade shows, conferences, and Geological Society meetings; Coordinate and facilitate client tours and ALS functions at trade shows Act as the initial contact for new clients regarding their program questions and concerns.
Assist with annual marketing quotation renewals, and track client workflow.
Client Services Responsibilities Provide excellent client service, including information on testing and service capabilities, quality control, and turnaround times.
Ensure proactive, positive, and responsive communications are always maintained with clients.
Contact clients with a courtesy call when new work is received, and if there are delays in work completion.
Follow up with clients once a project is completed to receive feedback and inquire about future work.
Act as a client advocate within ALS, tracking turn-around time and client priorities.
Follow up on client issues, maintain communication, and conduct investigations as required.
Provide technical information regarding quality control complaints and other issues from clients.
Maintain client contact and client requirements database Compile weekly sales report, and attends weekly project meetings, in person or remotely.
Use correct methods in accordance with the established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality.
Required Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Engineering relevant to mining or mineral processing; A strong metallurgical background is desirable; Work experience in a laboratory, consulting, plant design, or mine operation setting; Valid Provincial Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving history (abstract required).
