50! GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES :
Responsible for establishing and maintaining all Engineering records, files and reports.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES/
Essential Functions:
(Includes, but is not limited to the following) Establish and maintain files, records and reports; Type all Personnel Action Forms; Assist the Chief Engineer in preparing forecasts; Establish and maintain records for Engineering personnel; Answer phone and screen calls for Chief Engineer; Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail; Type vacation requires forms for the Department; Take dictation and type all letters and/or correspondence; Schedule appointments for the Chief Engineer / Director of Facilities as requested; Assist in procuring purchase order numbers and maintaining records; Responsible for all incoming invoices; Regular, predictable attendance; Other job related duties as assigned.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
(Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Excellent communication skills; filing and general office skills; skill in English grammar and spelling; ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information; understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures; skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff; ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English; ability to perform basic math; skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports and responding to correspondence; ability to type 65 wpm.
EDUCATION AND
Experience:
Education :
High school education or equivalent preferred.
Experience :
2 years general office experience and/or secretarial experience.
Certificate/License :
None required.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS :
Work is performed in an office environment.
Work may be performed in areas that are unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky, dimly lit or brightly illuminated.
Work entails use of computer equipment, typewriters, radios, telephones, calculators and copiers.
Frequent contact with engineering staff.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS :
(May be required in order to perform the essential functions of the position).
Position requires Team Member to enter & exit from the Team Member entrance which entails 4 flights of stairs (40 stairs).
Requires frequent sitting, repetitive use of both hands and finger dexterity; seldom climbing of stairs, bending and reaching from floor level to 6ft.
