Overview:
We are seeking an organized and motivated individual to fill our Security Technician position.
Individual must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills.
The ideal candidate has technical knowledge, problem solving skills, and proven experience working within a team environment.
This position will work individually or as part of a project team depending on company work load at any given time.
Reports directly to Operations Manager or Team Lead.

Responsibilities:
PowerComm Solutions, Inc.
is seeking a Security Technician within our Reno, Nevada Office.
Responsibilities include:
Lead and/or participate in all phases of network based security systems implementation life cycle:
plan, organize, design, install, configure, integrate, test, commission, and support (i.
e.
access control, camera surveillance systems, intrusion).
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals and product manuals to properly install and setup Electronic systems.
Assist Project Manager in coordinating and scheduling projects of various sizes and allocating manpower.
Work with Project Managers to ensure all material and equipment needed is ordered and available in a timely fashion.
Perform Field Surveys to acquire all information needed to prepare accurate project estimates.
Ensures as-built drawings are accurate, complete, and turned into drafting in a timely manner.
Act as customer liaison for operational activities.
Being the Security Division's technical expert through valid work experience and continued training opportunities.
Maintain a positive attitude to ensure team cohesiveness and project productivity.
System expert for assigned Major Client Accounts.
Job site code and safety compliance expert.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Candidate must have proven experience in several of the following disciplines:
Associates degree and/or other educational studies in the field of Electronics.
3 to 5 years of experience installing, programing, commissioning, integrating, servicing and maintaining low voltage electronic security systems.
Similar experience with Commercial Fire and Communication Systems is a plus.
Certification in various Security Systems:
Lenel, Software House, Milestone, Genetec, Exacq, and Bosch is a plus.
Excellent mechanical skills required to install and maintain systems hardware and infrastructure.
Proficient systems troubleshooting and resolution abilities at the application, hardware, and infrastructure levels.
Knowledge of industry regulations, codes, and standards applicable to the electronics industry.
Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
Excellent computer and advanced Microsoft Office aptitudes.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong Internet Technology (IT)/Networking aptitude as it applies to the installation and operations of Electronic Systems.
Must work with minimal supervision.
Must clear a background/credit check, drug test, and have a valid driver's license and driving record that meets Company requirements.
Job Type:

$50,000.
