Duties include but are not limited to:
Coordinate and aligns performance measure goals with system needs and specific requirements. Plan for future changes in workload and staffing and institute changes to maximize rendered services within available resources and enhance the qualitative experience of the Veteran population. Lead administrative staff in the absence of a supervisor who are on duty during irregular hours within the Patient Benefits section. Provide training to staff and monitor compliance with the third party insurance capture for the Medical Care Cost Fund. Oversee and/or manage administrative processes and programs. Plans, manages, and directs all technical and administrative activities/issues associated with enrollment, health benefits, beneficiary travel. Plans, manages, and directs all technical, and/or death details. Plans for future changes in workload and staffing and institutes changes to maximize rendered services within available resources and enhance the qualitative experience of the Veteran population. Communicate complex issues with individuals/groups with diverse backgrounds. Coordinate administrative functions with leadership, clinicians and administrative staff. Serve as an active participant on focus groups, committees, and meetings. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-9 or GS-11. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note:

Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-11 or GS-9 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
(1) supervising and evaluating subordinate staff; (2) utilizing quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques; (3) utilizing computer software programs to access, evaluate, research, update, and correct data; (4)maintaining positive working relationships with management, staff, and customers; and, (5) planning workload and staffing requirements. Experience level required for promotion in one-grade interval series. In a one-grade interval series, experience at the second lower grade level can be credited when there is no position in the normal line of progression that is one grade lower than the position being filled. When this provision is used for promotions requiring competition under the agency's merit promotion plan, the fact that employees can qualify with at least 1 year at either the next lower level or the second lower level must be stated in any vacancy announcement. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
