Summary:
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. BASIC REQUIREMENTS, GS-0601:
Education:
Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree:
major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Examples of environmental health coursework technical topics of air quality, food protection, occupational health & safety, water & waste water, solid & hazardous waste management, and disease prevention. (Must submit transcripts.) In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications and Selective Placement Factor stated below. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of full-time specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-09 grade level that equipped me with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Examples include:
Conducting environmental health surveys, inspections, investigations, risk assessments, program evaluations; and experience in the application of the principles of community injury prevention. OR Completed 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. OR Possess a combination of education and experience that when combined fully meet the minimum qualifications for this position. SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR, Certification:
Applicants who do not meet a selective factor are ineligible for further consideration. Possession of one of the following certifications has been deemed a position requirement and evidence of meeting this Selective Placement Factor must be submitted with your application documents. Registration as a Registered Sanitarian (RS) or Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) by the National Environmental Health Association or reciprocal registration through a state registration examination. You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of the announcement.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
