SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Will act as a lead person who provides advice or assistance to supervisor.
Capable of safe operations and training of other employees on every procedure and piece of equipment in area of responsibility.
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of their assigned area, assist in other areas as appropriate.
Will conduct spot checks of finished goods to verify compliance with specifications.
Will fill in as needed in line positions to support production demands.
Assists Production Supervisor with accident investigations and corrective action reports.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, provide guidance to trainees.
Use good judgment and common sense while performing duties.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Confirm that necessary production material is available to complete production schedule.
Confirm that all equipment is prepared for production schedule.
View raw material to ensure that it meets necessary quality standards.
Work with Quality Assurance to make sure that input and output meets written specifications.
Assist line workers to complete planned production schedule.
Troubleshoot if problems occur on the line.
Confer with production supervisors with any issues.
At completion of production schedule ensure that production material has been returned to its correct location.
Gather production records from in-feed and pack-off, verify production count, and make notes of any problems and downtime, if Supervisor is not available/out.
Create production reports, perform data entry and record keeping as needed.
Take initiative for identifying areas of improvement within the department, troubleshooting and working with management in resolving problems that arise.
Provide advice and assistance, including on the job training and coaching to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the function and the department.
Ensure that safe work practices are observed with machinery.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure food safety, safe work practices to protect yourself and others and not engage in unsafe behavior.
Must attend all department and company required trainings Perform other duties as assigned.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
