54 an hour The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) is seeking full-time Airport Facilities Custodians to join our dedicated Building Maintenance and Services team.
At the RTAA, our Airport Facilities Custodians are critical to helping keep the Reno-Tahoe International Airport sparkling clean and safe for the traveling public.

Key Accountabilities:
Airport Facilities Custodians work on the front line - both indoors and out.
They perform the full range of cleaning and custodial tasks in and around airport buildings, terminals, facilities, sidewalks, curb areas, parking lots, garage, and taxicab holding areas.
This work includes heavy duty cleaning, including stripping and waxing of tile floors, shampooing carpets, cleaning ceilings, and shoveling snow from sidewalks and entrances.
The nature of this work requires the candidate to be able to operate cleaning and custodial equipment - including scrubbers, buffers, carpet extractors, wet and dry vacuums, high lift, forklift and snow equipment.
Airport Facilities Custodians are also part of our larger customer service team.
This team is dedicated to helping provide the public with a pleasant and safe experience while traveling through the Reno-Tahoe International Airport.
All our Airport Facilities Custodians are expected to approach their work with a positive, helpful, customer service mindset.
The nature of the work requires one to speak and read English well enough to perform the job's essential duties, while maintaining a safe work environment.
THE PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE WORK MAY INCLUDE:
Sufficient dexterity to enable regular use of hands and fingers to operate various types of custodial cleaning and snow removal equipment.
The ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch down, stoop, crawl, twist, and climb.
The ability to perform light to strenuous physical/manual labor.
The ability to use safe lifting techniques to routinely lift/carry/push/pull 25-pound objects and occasionally lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Entry Salary:
$16.
33 - $1 8.
43 per hour, with opportunity for additional merit-based increases to a range maximum of $22.
54 per hour.
Initial salary placement will be based upon experience and qualifications.
In addition, employees working non-day shifts receive shift differential pay.
This is an hourly and overtime eligible position.

Experience:
Graduation from high school or equivalent certificate is preferred AND six (6) months of custodial experience in a commercial building environment is required.
Required Licensing:
A valid driver's license is required at time of application.
