Facilities - Certified Pool Operator


Summary:
Responsible for checking chemicals in swimming pools and spa including having a thorough knowledge of pools and equipment application, an understanding of facility characteristics, rules and regulations, policies and procedures and public relation skills; understand current codes and practices established by health codes and national aquatic certification agencies.
Test and adjust water chemistry to meet standards for oxidation and sanitation.
Inspect and assure cleanliness and appearance of the general pool area.
Duties:
Maintains chemical factor of pool water and spa Maintain clean surroundings of the pool and spa, including pick up debris and trash in the pool area.
Provides friendly customer service to hotel guests using the pool area.
Will help set up chairs and provide pool towels.
Maintains physical factor of pool water, including filtration, circulation, water temperature and vacuuming and other equipment.
Performs routine and annual maintenance on filtration system.
Ensures chemicals are stored safely and properly.
Order proper chemicalsJOB REQUIREMENTSMinimum 2 years' experience maintaining pools and related equipment.
Pool Operator Certificate (State Certified).
Ability to communicate effectively with staff and residents.
EDUCATON:
Not an entry level position, applicants must be qualified.

Provide a safe environment for customers and employees.
Report emergencies to proper authorities.
Report all suspicious persons or activities and hazardous conditions to supervisor, security, or safety personnel.
