This position will develop and implement marketing plans for assigned sports to increase attendance and enhance the fan experience. Individual will assist with student marketing, social media and marketing and promotional efforts for Football, Soccer, and Volleyball, Men's and women's basketball and Softball. Additional responsibilities may be assigned. Position reports to the Assistant Athletics Director of Marketing and Promotions. The applicant will have the option to apply for this positon in one of two ways: 1. For Graduate Assistantship, applicants must be admissible to graduate standards at the University of Nevada and be accepted in a degree program. Compensation includes $1,550 stipend per month and tuition and fees for nine credits during fall, spring and summer. Student is responsible for parking. Position begins January and is renewable pending approval for up to three years. 2. For an Intern appointment without benefits. Compensation is $25,000 per year without benefits. Intern is responsible for parking. Position begins immediately and is renewable pending approval for a second year. A Bachelor's degree is required with preference given to individuals with at least one year of experience in collegiate sports marketing. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required. Must be able to work nights and weekends at required events.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
