Position Purpose:
Under the direction of the Restaurant Manager, the bus person performs dining room services.This position is accountable for keeping the dining room areas clean and stocked, and for helping the food servers with the customers.
Nature and Scope:
This position is challenged with keeping the restaurant clean and stocked especially during peak times; providing quick, friendly, efficient and professional service to restaurant guests.
The incumbent has the authority to determine when and how many supplies are needed and also has limited employee latitude to act as necessary to keep the restaurant clean.
Decisions that must be referred to the supervisor/manager include any special requests by customers, equipment failure, and complaints/problems encountered with the customers and/or co-workers.
This position is responsible for cleaning the dinning room tables after meals as well as stocking condiments, napkins, utensils, and ice machine, including sanitizing.
